The Darlington Hyde Park is located on Sussex Gardens in the Paddington Hyde Park area of London, less than a 5 minute walk from the Heathrow Express terminal at Paddington station. This 40 bedroom former stately Victorian terraced town house conversion offers high standard accommodation with modern facilities, which ensure that the expectations of both business and leisure travellers alike are fully met. The comfort and safety of all guests is of paramount importance to every member of our staff with attention to detail on cleanliness and hygiene combined with high levels of professional customer service, ensuring the Darlington Hyde Park is always an enjoyable stay. The Darlington Hyde Park prides itself on being a strictly non-smoking establishment. All rates advertised are for rooms in the rear of the building.

Although the Darlington Hyde Park is located in a safe area of London, the hotel has a number of safety measures in place, to further enable you to feel at ease during your stay:

- Entry to the hotel reception and foyer can only be accessible by intercom or an issued key-card.
- Entry to the Hotel rooms and facilities can only be accessible with an issued key-card.
- Key-cards are issued only once checked-in.
- All issued key-cards are time-related to check-out times and do not give an indication of the hotel or room number to which they belong.

Discreet CCTV security cameras are positioned near all entrances and exits to the hotel, allowing 24-hour monitoring.

Every bedroom has a double locked front door and in-room safe for personal valuables.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served every morning in our fresh and lively hotel conservatory, where guests may help themselves to the continental buffet and order one of our famous freshly cooked traditional hot English breakfasts. Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 09:00 (during Monday to Friday) and between 08:00 and 10:00 (at weekends).

Our continental buffet has an array of cereals, fresh fruits, juices and yoghurts to choose from. With mini-rolls and toast with mixed fruit jams and fresh percolated coffee or English tea.

Our famous English breakfast consists of English sausage, bacon, eggs with grilled tomatoes and butter boiled mushrooms, all freshly cooked to order.

With the conservatory only open for morning breakfast, our reception staff will be only too delighted to advise and recommend a number of restaurants and bars that are only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

Alternatively, room service meals can be ordered and delivered to the hotel to enable guests an evening meal in their rooms.

Guests can enjoy a selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, which are available on request from our 24-hour staffed reception.

Area information

Hyde Park (0 km/ 0 miles) - Largest Park in London, leading through to Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. Site of the Albert Memorial and opposite the Royal Albert Hall.

Oxford Street (1 km/ 0.62 miles) - Famous London shopping area leading on to Bond Street and Regent Street and then a short walk away from Covent Garden.

Buckingham Palace (2 km/ 1.2 miles) - Short walk through Hyde Park to see the changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace, the royal residence. A short bus ride takes you to The Tower of London.

London Eye (4 km/ 2.5 miles) - The World's tallest observation wheel gives spectacular views over London. Opposite Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and a short walk from the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is very warm, my air con was set at 30 degrees (very generous).

My room was absolutely tiny, even for a single, it was very small.

The hotel staff was very flexible and changed our room to larger one without extra charge. Though the big room was quite chilly, it was very clean, spacious and well kept. Good breakfast and very well worth the money.

The hotel staff was (despite of their flexibility) little bit unfriendly. They did not smile (none of them) even once or asked how everything was.

proximity to sites of London and bus stops, tube etc.Security was very reassuring.

Feel the rooms were hastily put together for us as there was an error in the booking procedure. Extremely cramped for 3 adults.

The mattress was not very good. When I sat down on the bed it felt like a board was under the mattress.

Took my Mum for her first trip to London and she was very impressed. Hotel is in a great location near Paddington for easy access to Heathrow Express and tube lines. Rooms very clean and comfortable, friendly staff and great breakfasts.

This is an excellent hotel. Our room was spotless and the beds extremeley comfortable. The full English breakfast was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel was excellent value for money that we will use again and which we strongly recommend.

Double glazing would have helped keep out the traffic noise.

I liked how close to Paddingtos station. The fridge in the room was nice to have.

The internet was a joke and usually not available. I had asked for a walk up call for an early flight, and never got a wake up call. The in room coffee pot did not work.
