The history of NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky began in 1866 when it was a small bar owned by Mr Krasnapolsky. His decision to create a few rooms on-site blossomed into a full-scale expansion and resulted in the creation of this unique and grand complex. Both leisure and business travellers can discover everything they require under one roof in this landmark hotel.

The 22 board and banquet rooms can accommodate up to 2000 people for both business and social events. After meetings and sight-seeing, the state-of-the-art beauty centre and fitness room are just the cure and provide necessary relaxation in this bustling and exciting city.

Our team of concierges is happy to answer all your questions and fulfil all your wishes during your stay; ranging from bike rental to a boating tour along the canals from our private landing jetty to discover the city’s many faces.

Restauració

The hotel offers a Summer Garden and a monumental Winter Garden where you can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet in the morning. In a-la-carte restaurant Reflet you can enjoy assorted French oriented dishes in belle époque style. For fans of the oriental cuisine, restaurant Shilbli Bedouin is an excellent choice. The Wynand Fockink Distillery, dating back to 1679, where you can taste and buy Jenevers and liqueurs, is the eldest distillery in Amsterdam. The Lounge offers connoisseurs its house tea selection, liqueurs and a royal view of the Dam. The Golden Palm Bar offers assorted top-class cocktails.

Restaurant opening hours are from 17:00 to 23:00.
Lounge: open all day.

A hot and cold breakfast buffet is available:
Monday to Friday from 06.30 to 10.30 and Saturday to Sunday from 07:00 to 11:00.

Other attractions nearby are Madame Tussauds, the Anne Frank Museum, Van Gogh Museum and the Red Light District.

Anne Frank Museum (1.8km) - The former hiding place, where Anne Frank wrote her diary, is now a well known museum. The museum tells the history of the eight people in hiding and those who helped them during the war. Anne Frank's diary is among the original objects on display.

Royal Palace (0.2km) - The Dutch Royal House is the House of Orange-Nassau. Since the 15th century, the fortunes of this House have been closely tied to those of the Netherlands. Since that time, the Oranges have made a major contribution to the government as viceroys, kings and queens.

The staff were very friendly and actually upgraded us to an apartment free of charge as our room was unavailable because we arrived early! They did not have to do this.

The only problem with the apartment was the thin windows and although it backed onto a quiet street, it was sometimes noisey during the night.

poor fitness room, very noisy, the furniture in the room is very old and the bathroom is very poor. no conditioner and no body ceam in the bathroom wich is elementery for this kind of pricing.

The location, the food, the gentle of the staff

This is my second visit in this hotel. this time I was located in the external part of the hotel. I'm very disappointed from the room standards and the overall maintenance, the need to go out via the street to get into my room. I do think they have reserved this kind of room since I have orderd the room via your site, maybe the price they get is lower than regular reservation ???!!!I

I have frequently stayed at this hotel and normally have no problems. However, Prior to departure on Monday, Barclays Bank informed me that my visa debit card had been fraudulently used and stopped it. Luckily, I also have a pre-pay master card (Tuxedo) and applied £700 to the card to pay for the rooms (x3). On arrival, the hotel would not accept the card because it was not a credit card!
